After watching the NHK documentary about “Kokuriko zaka kara” I tried to make an animation using all the things I learned from this show and from my visit to studio Ghibli last year. Drawn the e-konte, layout, the background, and movement frames by hand, then colored it in Photoshop. You can see the result above (also contains the line-work and motion key-frames renders).

Any tips for background art? OR seen any good tutorials for it? I can't find anyone doing good explanation for scene painting for Anime... :)

I draw lines and color in Photoshop but the sketch is done by hand on paper.
